A small festival that offers a unique opportunity to experience the soulful music emerging from the Appalachian regions of Western Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia. Rooted in acoustic tradition, NewGrass-Folk is an evolving craft and we are excited to share the artists with you right here in the foothills at the lovely Green Hill Farm.

Alex Kerns – Bassist, Vocalist & Co‑Founder of the Low Water Bridge Band
Hailing from Berryville, Virginia, Alex is the energetic backbone of Low Water Bridge Band, anchoring its deep country‑grass Americana sound with his distinctive bass thump and rich vocals. He's rolling solo to start the show.
Zac Townsend is a singer-songwriter from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, who performs with his band, The Mudcats.
They blend genres like blues, rock, and Americana, creating high-energy performances. With roots in rock and metal, there is an undeniable rasp in Zac's voice and aggression in his delivery. Reminiscent of Alice in Chains, they blend that intensity into smoother Americana and country blues.
Short Hill Mountain Boys play their own blend of bluegrass, old-time, cajun, classic country, and folk music with a rare passion. Their harmony vocals, fiddling, and guitar picking are tight and practiced like the suit-and-cowboy-hat bluegrass acts, but imbued with the authenticity, spontaneity, and infectious good time of old time mountain music, in which they are well steeped.
